99% of people mount infrared panels on the wall, where the old radiator was. It looks logical, but it’s the worst place you can put them. A wall-mounted panel radiates in only one direction. Its rays hit the opposite wall and are immediately blocked by the sofa, the table, the curtains or the bed. You heat a corridor of air while half the room stays cold.
Infrared does not work like a radiator. A radiator must heat the air, so it makes sense to put it low on the wall. An infrared panel heats solid surfaces with light rays. To be efficient, those rays must hit as much surface as possible. There is only one place in the room from where you can hit everything at once: the ceiling.

Why the ceiling is 30% more efficient
When you put a slim white 700W panel in the center of the ceiling, its rays fall like rain over the entire room. In one shot you warm the floor, the bed, the desk, all four walls and the people sitting below. No furniture can create a shadow.
With radiators the floor is always the coldest part because hot air immediately rises to the ceiling. With a ceiling panel it is the opposite. The floor absorbs the rays and becomes pleasantly lukewarm, amazing for bare feet and for kids playing on the ground. You don’t have cold feet anymore even when the thermostat says 22 degrees.
Goodbye to mold forever
This is the most important benefit that no one tells you about. Mold only grows on cold walls where condensation forms. A wall panel heats only the wall in front of it. A ceiling panel heats all four walls evenly at the same time. The walls become 2-3 degrees warmer than the air and condensation can no longer form physically. Without moisture, black mold dies within weeks. For stone houses, taverns, basements, blind bathrooms and bedrooms with mold behind the wardrobe, ceiling mounting is the only definitive solution.
Total comfort without dust
With a ceiling panel you don’t feel a heat source blasting from one side. The warmth comes from above, soft and even over your whole body, just like winter sun. From floor to ceiling there is no temperature difference. There is no air movement, no dust circulation, humidity stays perfect at 50%. For allergy sufferers and asthmatics it’s a life-changing difference.
How much does it cost and how do you install it?
A ceiling panel is only 2 cm thick, weighs 7 kg and is completely white and invisible once installed. It is fixed with 4 anchors where the old chandelier was, it is wired to the power cable from the ceiling and it lasts over 25 years with zero maintenance. It takes up no wall space, you don’t have to move furniture and children can’t touch it.
For a 14 square meter room a single 700W panel on the ceiling is enough to keep it at 21 degrees all winter. Thanks to the smart WiFi thermostat you control from your phone, it reaches temperature in 15 minutes and then works only 3-4 effective hours per day to keep the walls warm. That is about 0.60 EUR per day for that room, with 30-50% savings compared to gas because you heat surfaces, not empty air.
